Advanced ADAS Programming Services for Your Vehicle

About ADAS

Automotive ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) refers to a collection of technologies designed to enhance vehicle safety and assist drivers in the driving process. These systems use sensors, cameras, radar, and software to provide features like lane departure warnings, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot detection, parking assistance, and more. ADAS aims to reduce human error, improve safety, and pave the way for more autonomous driving capabilities in the future.

Types of calibration

ADAS calibration refers to the process of ensuring that the sensors and cameras of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems are accurately aligned and functioning properly. There are two main types of ADAS calibration:

  1. Static Calibration:
This type of calibration is typically done in a controlled environment, like a garage or service bay, using specialized equipment. The vehicle is positioned in a specific location, and the sensors and cameras are adjusted or aligned based on pre-defined targets or reference points. Static calibration is often used for systems like lane-keeping assist and forward collision warning.
  2. Dynamic Calibration:
Dynamic calibration involves calibrating the ADAS systems while the vehicle is being driven. During this process, the vehicle must drive on a specific route or in certain conditions, allowing the sensors and cameras to adjust in real-time. This type of calibration is commonly used for systems like adaptive cruise control and parking sensors, as it requires real-world conditions to properly calibrate the system.

Both calibration types are essential to ensure the accuracy and performance of the ADAS, and the appropriate method depends on the specific system being calibrated.
